thats how I am feeding you the wedding news, like a little dripping tap.
But trust me you would be bored pantless if I wrote it all down in one go!
So we move on to the reception venue, I have to confess to falling in love with another venue. Its in the same village but much nicer, with a lovely sunny windows and a patio area. Sadly its closed for maintenance for the whole of August! Seems this is quite common with village halls. Back to the original hall then.
I went with Mum and Derek to measure tables and check out lay out. Now I have a clearer idea of how things shouls be there, and have decided to get a large gazebo to shade our guests from the hot sun, when they are outside at the hog roast (or protect them from rain - heres hoping we dont have that!).
Whilst I was at the club I left a message for boss type man, asking a number of questions, about access, corkage etc. today we received a reply. Access is all good, but in reply to the corkage query they have offered us the drink they supply for usual wedding receptions - "Superior sparkling perry" at £3 a bottle - ooooooo push the boat out! thanks, but no thanks I think we were looking for something a bit more, *um* - classy!
