after a right old performance returning the other dress (seller on Ebay 'claimed' it had deoderant marks on it and was a bit reluctant to refund us! but he saw sense in the end) I now have a dress for the eldest daughter! It really is lovely on her, she looked very pretty - and it matches her hair *rolls eyes*.
I have had a fantastic idea (well i think so!) about table decorations, invloving glass vases, sticks and beads - honest it looks better than it sounds! and I have managed to source the vases really cheaply at good ol' Tesco!
The other idea for table decorations was tea lights, I was saving up glass dip jars and these were going to be painted at some point. however, recently on freecycle someone was offering
36
tealight holders in the perfect colour for us, they had only been used once at his daughters wedding so are immaculate!
CHUFFED!
Back to the bridesmaids, I also managed to get 2 lovely matching cardigans for the littlies in the Marks and Spencer sales for £5 each - in case it turns chilly in the evening.
I am going to update this blog again in 4 weeks time (at the longest) and in that time I will have
- found and bought my shoes
- taken Mr.B's lovely new full length birth certificate to the registrar, to prove who he is!
- confirmed with the caterers
- been to the reception venue to measure tables for covers, and to review the layout
- bought our wedding rings!
